Not every Piquillo Pepper is subject to the Designation. Under this name, there are also other types of peppers which do not have much to do with the product controlled by the Regulatory Board. Due to this fact, if you want to buy it, make sure that the can or jar bears, in a visible place:

• The logotype of the Designation

The name of the product: The Piquillo peppers with Designation of origin can include in their name the word “LODOSA”; on the other hand, those not included in the Designation cannot. In this way, only the packages of the manufacturers belonging to the Designation of Origin bear in their labels: Pimiento del Piquillo de Lodosa.
