Who we are

TheInstitute for Food and Agriculture Quality of Navarre (ICAN, according to its initials in Spanish), is an autonomous Public Company, decentralised from the Public Administration, which aims at the promotion of the food and agriculture of the Spanish region of Navarre.

ICAN belongs to and depends on the Department of Agriculture, Livestock, and Food Issues of the Government of Navarre. It is responsible for the inspection and controlof almost all the products with certified distinguished quality of the Autonomous Region of Navarre. Besides, it deals with the promotion of those products by means of the attendance to specialised trade fairs, the organisation of exhibitions and promotional events, the edition of much advertising material, the participation in several actions together with the Tourism Service of the Region of Navarre and some other measures, as the support for the creation of new distinctive awards and the increase of the products from this region in the distribution channels.
