Artichokes with ham¶

Ingredients:
- 16 artichokes
- 200gm of ham
- flour
- 2 lemons
- salt
- water and garlic
- a knob of butter
Instructions:
Clean the artichokes and cook them in a saucepan with water, flour, salt and lemon juice for about eight minutes. If they are not in season, use preserved artichokes – the result will be the same. In a broad pan, melt the butter, add the ham cut into slices and the garlic and, when they are golden brown, add in a little flour. Stir and pour in water in order to make the sauce. Allow the mixture to cook for a couple of minutes and then add the pre-cooked and halved artichokes. Add salt according as necessary.
