Mercados medievales para conmemorar la unidad de la ciudad por el “Privilegio de la Unión”.

Mercados de antaño

Hace siglos, Pamplona vivía fracturada en 3 burgos: Navarrería, San Cernin y San Nicolás con constantes enfrentamientos entre sí. El 8 de septiembre de 1423, Carlos III el Noble promulgó el Privilegio de la Unión, por el cual todos los burgos quedaban unidos en un solo Ayuntamiento y así logró la paz en la ciudad. Para conmemorar esta unión, Pamplona retrocede a su época medieval instalando un gran mercado en las calles que pertenecieron a esos burgos. Alfareros, zapateros, ceramistas, toneleros… se instalarán en las calles junto a los puestos de alimentación.
